A Message from Dr. Rice
As Modern Medicine continues to grow, I have decided to pursue some of my professional passions. I have been fortunate enough to be asked on behalf of several healthcare companies to speak on a wide variety of topics. These include functional medicine, gut health, hormone health, thyroid health, autoimmune disease, etc. The due diligence I go through to be able to understand and teach advanced medical concepts at a high level gives me the knowledge and experience that encompasses Modern Medicine’s mission. These endeavors allow me to understand complex topics at a deeper level.
This also helps me be the best I can be for my practice, Modern Medicine, and the providers that work here. The addition of Morgan Debs, FNP-C, has been key in allowing our services to remain consistent even in my absence. I am also thrilled and fortunate to add Paige Carroll, FNP-C/Allergan Certified Injector to our team. Paige (pictured with me above) has already exceeded my expectations to become a provider I am extremely proud of. She is a very genuine, intelligent, and sincere clinician. She came in with an extensive knowledge of functional medicine and brought an enhanced skillset in aesthetics which our patients have been waiting for. In the brief time she has been with us, she has already gained a dedicated following. Everyone that meets her simply loves her. Both Paige and Morgan are well versed and trained in the protocols and values that are the heart of myself and Modern Medicine.
Please join me in welcoming Paige to our growing team. My sincere request is that you allow Morgan and/or Paige to see you in our clinic if I happen to be away teaching, researching, or advising. I will still be seeing patients at both office locations, but I will just be available noticeably less. Always remember that my ability to do this only ensures a better experience for all my amazing patients. I’ve placed my trust in them, and I know that you can as well.
Modern Medicine is thrilled to announce the addition of Nurse Practitioner and Aesthetics Injector, Paige Carroll, to our practice.
After an intense and thorough search Paige Carroll, FNP-C/Allergan Certified Injector, has joined the Modern Medicine team. Paige brings her experience in Bioidentical hormone replacement, aesthetics, and family practice along with her genuine personality to us from Celina. She will be available to see you at our Addison and Forney locations. She is an experienced aesthetics provider with a masterful eye for the art of cosmetic injections. Paige is also a Certified BioTE Provider and trained under Dr. Rice. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge as well as helping our patients make sustainable lifestyle changes to optimize their health overall.

Welcome our new Practice Manager, Stefanie Schoenberger to the team!
Stefanie comes to Modern Medicine with an extensive background in Practice Management in both functional medicine and aesthetics. After working as an LPC for several years, she decided to change careers and enrolled in aesthetics and laser school which she completed in 2007. She quickly developed a love and interest for aesthetics and pursued opportunities in those areas. She has worked in medical practices with a focus on “the little things” with great success ever since. It is of the utmost importance to her that you have the best patient experience possible when you visit Modern Medicine. Stefanie strives to make sure that patients leave with a smile on their faces and an experience they are eager to share with others. Her attention to detail and her extremely friendly demeanor make her a perfect fit for Modern Medicine. Stefanie is always working behind the scenes to improve processes and implement procedures to make your time at Modern Medicine a productive experience. She is an experienced aesthetics manager who will be adding a range of aesthetics services to Modern Medicine. We have always made it our mission to help you feel as good as possible on the inside, and now we have a variety of treatment options for you to look as good as possible on the outside.
